The latest item to be posted on the photo site is a 1951 HSOB soccer
group from the effects of Mr Jim Kent. Jim was an ex-head boy at the
school and a keen supporter of the Old Boys activities, as well as
being a member of the teaching staff. He appears in civvies with at
least one other OB team, and in strip as a team member in another. We
have several HSOB photos pending now, and I have posted this one as it
is complete in itself without further research. The item was mounted
with the players named on the mount. (I wish they were all so obliging
) However, the photo was sealed under glass and as a result isvery slightly out of focus when scanned. This is unavoidable without
breaking the passe-partout seal. An overall scan of the complete item
is shown on the Discussion Board,
The photo was loaned by Jim's son, Stewart, and the scan was made for
us by Jean Holmes (Wild). It is one of many items provided by Stewart.
We are grateful to him for sharing them with us, and to Jean for
scanning items not suitable for posting.
Another item of interest from this general period was posted to the
main site early in March. This was the Speech Day programme for 1949
(Taking place Feb 1950) provided by Derrick McGarry. Further
