After almost a year without a newsworthy event on the Photo Site I now
have two to report.
We were sent two scans recently by Phil Newton who started at
Greenhill in 1962 but transferred to Kaskenmoor in September 1966.
The photos are of the 1966-67 Kaskenmoor senior Cricket and Soccer
teams and we believe that all the team members started at Greenhill.
Group photos were unusual at this time and we are grateful to Phil for
sharing them with us. The trend towards individual school photos
instead of class groups has a knock-on effect when trying to name
faces in the rare ones we are lucky enough to see. There is no
reference pool to cross check named against unnamed faces. There are
several unnamed faces in these photos and we would appreciate any help
members can give in naming them.
The other site development that infrequent visitors may have missed is
FolkFind+ which I personally took up in earnest in the New Year,
though it is the result of many years painstaking work by Keith . It
was mooted in the 'PhotoSite Development' thread late in February and
the full version announced mid march under 'FolkFind+'

FolkFind+ is now well integrated with both the Photo and Document
sections of the site, though we continue to develop its features.
Also, as a result of further checking, the number of entries has now
risen from 16,700 to 19,200 (rounded), and rising.
As stated in in the original announcement -
Visitors using the site to gather information about previous
generations of their family, education at Greengate St. or even just
grammar school life in general, owe Keith a huge debt of gratitude.
