Ye gods, Kevin - for my money, that is now absolutely faultless!
Superb mate, well done, and thank you :)

That's as simple as it gets, intuitive, easy to navigate from and to the main site..... and I even like the links on the left - the mouse is where you need it for clicking the Back button from a photograph!

For once, I've just no criticism or suggestion to make :)

Kevin wrote:(Only Ken knows what was involved in making it work like that)

Just so that we are all clear on what was meant by that, the only reason that Ken has even the slightest clue about what was involved is because a bloke who knows what he's talking about told Ken what was involved in an e-mail earlier today. The P.S. read:-

"PS Do you realise that this means that I'm attempting to use PHP to
generate a MySQL based HTML form with some JavaScript event handling.
Anybody reading that would probably think that I had some idea what I
was doing :-) "

The signature before the P.S. was "Kevin", and yes, I was reading it, and yes, I do think that he has an idea of what he is doing!

Hi All,

A search system isn't much use if you can't update it with new material. I have just posted several new entries associated with Alf Selby's 1954 School Collection Album. The items fed in OK from an edited file on my home machine, and even introduced a new 'Section' entry as well - '1954 Collection'.

It looks like we have a workable system :D

The new set up on Fotofind is much easier for searching.

Thanks for all your hard work Kevin.

Hi Rosemary,

thanks for the comment. When you are writing a system like this you get far too close to it to make an objective assessment of how it will be used. Also, to be honest, you tend to use well understood techniques, like the [submit] or [build] button. As we found out, not to everyone's liking

I think that we are all happy with it now, and I certainly plan to use an extension of the idea for wider applications later.

Thanks again to all who made an input.

Kevin
